    1. Author Guidelines

Welcome to Rivyr Open Access (Rivyr OA) — a platform committed to supporting authors in publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed, open access research. Below are general author guidelines for submitting your work to any journal hosted on Rivyr OA. Please also refer to the specific "Author Guidelines" section on each journal’s page, as individual journals may have additional or tailored requirements.

    1. Scope and Relevance

Before submitting your manuscript, ensure that your work aligns with the aims and scope of the target journal. Each journal on Rivyr OA has a clearly defined subject focus, which can be found on its homepage.

    2. Manuscript Preparation

Authors must follow the journal-specific formatting instructions. In general, manuscripts should include:

    • Title and abstract

    • Author names and affiliations

    • Keywords

    • Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion

    • References formatted according to the journal's style guide

    • Figures and tables are properly labeled and cited in-text.

Please check the journal’s preferred citation style and file formats (e.g., .docx, LaTeX) before submission.

    3. Language and Style

Submissions must be written in clear, academic English (or Arabic for journals that accept Arabic manuscripts). Authors are encouraged to:

    • Use a professional tone and grammar.

    • Avoid jargon unless clearly defined.

    • Use inclusive, bias-free language.

Rivyr OA does not provide language editing services, but authors may use third-party editing services before submission if needed.

    4. Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system, powered by the Rivyr Publishing Suite. During submission, authors will be asked to

    • Provide metadata (title, abstract, keywords).

    • Upload the manuscript and supplementary files.

    • Suggest reviewers (if required by the journal).

    • Declare conflicts of interest and funding sources.

    5. Peer Review

All submissions undergo peer review as per the journal’s policy (single-blind, double-blind, or open). Authors should:

    • Respond to reviewer comments constructively.

    • Submit revised manuscripts on time.

    • Be prepared for possible rejection or multiple revision rounds.

    6. Ethics and Integrity

Authors must adhere to international standards of research integrity. This includes:

    • Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere.

    • Plagiarism: All manuscripts are subject to plagiarism checks.

    • Ethical approval: Required for studies involving humans or animals.

    • Data transparency: Data sharing may be required depending on the journal.

    7. Open Access and Licensing

All journals hosted on Rivyr OA are fully open access. Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons license (usually CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated by the journal.

    8. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Some journals may charge APCs to support open access publishing. APC policies and waivers (if applicable) are listed on each journal’s webpage.

    9. Post-Publication

    • Published articles are:

    • Indexed and archived.

    • Assigned a DOI.

    • Preserved via CLOCKSS and Crossref.

    • Made freely available to the public.
